Mission. Patent Insights mission is to provide products and services to organizations that need to make more accurate, more informed strategic technology selection or technology investment decisions.
History. Founded in 2001, Patent Insight's analysis process is built on 25 years of R&D program management experience. Our process is practical and unique (two issued patents). To date, we have applied the process to a broad range of problems from medical devices to pharmaceuticals to consumer products to service industries. Our clients have included start-ups, Fortune 500 companies and law firms.
Beliefs. At Patent Insights, we believe that conducting a thorough analysis of technology options is just as critical as conducting well thought out marketing research. We also understand that the process has been complex and time consuming in the past. Founder. Gary M. Oosta, holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Chemistry from E. Mich. Univ. He has 25 years of industrial research experience in various technology areas including medical diagnostics, thin-layer coating, bio-effects of electromagnetic radiation, and blood coagulation. Dr. Oosta has authored 20 technical publications and is an inventor on 77 patents worldwide. In addition, he has managed research groups that were responsible for many other patented innovations. Dr. Oosta has a long-standing interest in using patents as strategic technology indicators for future technology selection and new product development.
